Communism in Russia
One death is a tragedy; one million is a statistic.
~Joseph Stalin
Death solves all problems - no man, no problem.
~Joseph Stalin
In the 1920s, Joseph Stalin decided to build Russia into one of the largest industrial powers of the world. He made a series of five-year plans to direct the industrialization, the first coming out in 1928. By 1937, Russia was second largest industrial power in the world, falling short only of the United States. Along the way, Stalin caused the death of over thirteen million people, and famine in Russia caused the death of millions more.
